My mission is to help writers to refine their work for the clearest and most precise expression of their ideas. I ground my editing work in three principles: clarity, precision, and craft. I bring to my practice a B.A. in English and German from Saint Olaf College and an M.A. in Literary Publishing from Hamline University. I am also a member of the Professional Editors Network.
I am a freelance editor based in Minneapolis, MN, with clients worldwide. I have more than a decade of experience as both an in-house editor and a freelancer working with authors and publishers, both corporate and independent. I have worked at nearly every stage of the publishing process, from manuscript submissions to sales, marketing, and distribution of the final book.
